My 2011 and 2012 sculptures were all poured at my home with equipment that I designed and fabricated with the help of many friends and family members. The process is fairly involved and very dangerous. It involves pouring molten bronze at a temperature of 2100 degrees. It is also fairly expensive since the wax, the mold material, the bronze itself, and the gas to power the furnace and kiln are all somewhat pricey. That is not to mention the cost of the equipment.
