My sculptures are unique semi-abstract bronzes. My more recent includes some figurative work and some symbolic. My older work has been largely figurative. They are sized perfectly for display on a small table or pedestal.
To me, creativity is all about making novel connections and inferences. It requires seeing things afresh, leaning as little as possible on preconceptions and preformed expectations. When I sculpt, I try to force myself to let go of the familiar as much as possible—trying to create images that do not come automatically to mind. My approach is essentially assemblage, where I make the pieces I assemble with rather than finding them. I am very inspired by weathered and rustic natural forms that look like time has taken its toll. Those aspects come together in my sculptures. I hope you enjoy the work. If you do, please let me know through the Contact Me page. I would love your feedback.
